The Western mentality was any Tribes that go against them was called : Pirates. (Bad Name), insurgency, terrorist etc.
Now in modern days Rentap was a warrior ( Not Pirate), Rosli Dobi was a warrior ( Not a Terrorist)..so do the Illanuns the successful sea trader in spices ( Not A Pirate).Our Grandfather was being lied by the British for this reasons.
